Jamal Ademola is a Nigerian-American film director, award winning artist, animator and actor.
A lover of arts, Jamal believes that emotional vulnerability and authenticity of expression is integral to connecting with any audience.
Endlessly curious, Jamal enjoys visual experimentation, creating works that are truly mixed-media - live-action film, 2d animation, 3d, painting, photography, illustration, and design. He has over a decade of experience specializing in high quality cel animation for highly visible clients such as Skechers, Google, Reebok, Doritos, House of Marley, Chobani and more.

"Fearless Leader" a commercial for Northwell Health that he co-directed with MJZ director Fredrik Bond, won a Muse Award for Creativity in 2020. Keenly aware of the barriers that black talent face in film, TV and advertising industries, Jamal is dedicated to decolonial practices and creating space for more underrepresented storytellers.

Jamal has exhibited works at (AWCA) A White Space Creative Agency in Lagos, Nigeria. He is the recipient of the 2021-22 Kala Media Art Award and fellowship and has been awarded residencies at Virginia Center for the Creative Arts, Oregon based Caldera Arts founded by Dan Wieden of Wieden + Kennedy, and Pocoapoco based in Oaxaca Mexico.
His work has been featured in I-D magazine, Vogue Italia, Creative Boom, Okay Africa and Vice. He is currently based in Los Angeles and is writing and developing projects for film and television in hopes to facilitate healing.
